de Vadinia Bed and Breakfast is located in Picos de Europa National Park on a lake. This beautiful stone mountain house
in Vegacernega is fully equipped and dates from the end of the 18th century and start of the 19th century. The property is
currently used for rural tourism and has three floors. There are six double bedrooms with bathrooms and an apartment comprising
two bedrooms and a kitchen-diner with a garden at the front and back. Located next to the Park National Picks of Europe,
the La Morada de Vadinia is the perfect rural house in which to enjoy one of the most beautiful natural areas in
Spain. The B&B permits the visitor to enjoy all the activities and enjoyment that one could wish for. Mountain activities
and aquatic activities include hiking, climbing, cross country skiing, etc. Each room is decorated in the purest alpine style
with a high degree of comfort. All the rooms have a flatscreen tv, individual bathroom and heating and of course the
exclusive touch of "La Morada de Vadinia". In
the mid-19th century this unique house, at the entrance to Vegacerneja, was originally a forge which was a prosperous business
in those times. It's original owner was popular in the village and was considered a well-credited and trusted merchant
who always ordered the best construction materials for his projects, such as the magnificent carved stones surrounding
the doors and windows of the B&B which are unique in the village. In 2004 the B&B underwent the best restoration in
its history while at the same time keeping loyal to the original materials and structure. The house is now a protected
heritage site and shows a clear example of mid-19th century popular mountain architecture. The land surrounding the property provides the essence of La Morda de Vadinia
in each brilliant pine needle, in each drop of dew, in the sombre forests and each wolf howl are indeed part of the the memory
of this beautiful place. The sap that oozes through the numerous trees carries within them the memory of the Vadinienses.
The deer, the eagle, the bear, the snowy summits in the hard winters, the fast flowing rivers of water in the spring are all
the same as the ones that shared the existence with the old Cantabrian tribes. Vadinia was as we can see, the city of the
water, one of the nine Cantabrian towns mentioned by Ptolomeus in his work "Geographica II", though its exact location
is still unknown. All that is known is that the dwelling or "morada" of Vadinia was in Vegacerneja on the Arriondas
road that leads to Cangas de Onis and the National Park of Picos de Europe.
La Morda de Vadina Bed and Breakfast is
a fully equipped turnkey property, including all furniture, dishes...etc. The B&B has one single room, three double
rooms, two suites and six bathrooms including an owner apartment. Asking Price: € 510.000 EUR
