The Alpine Log House, for sale by owner Switzerland, is located
in Loye (Grône) at about 1000 meters above sea level, at 15 min drive from Vercorin and Nax ski resorts and 30 min drive
from Crans-Montana. It has 260 square meters living space and is situated on 4735 square meters, partially fenced with room
for expansion.
The all natural construction method
used to build the log home takes 3 years. When the trees were cut in a Swiss forest they were given 1 year to dry, they
were then cut to the millimeter to fit! Using the natural building method, the wood was not treated with chemicals.
We also used natural materials such as sheep wool and a sort of wood wool for insulation. Artistic Craftsmanship is especially
demonstrated in the unique staircase which is made out of smoked oak and acacia wood. The heating is done by very efficient
wood stoves, including a Finnish Tulikivi, and the water is heated by two solar panels. Loye is situated in Wallis or
Valais, a valley which is known for its microclimate and its many days of sunshine.
The ground floor is made up of a huge living room with an open kitchen (plus island).
It also has a hallway, a bathroom and a bedroom. The first floor consists of a gorgeous loft space, a bathroom, a bedroom
and a 22m2 balcony with a great view.
